Angie Lorraine, Gedanken Therapist and Coach.
The coaching market is flooded. There are so many coaches and mentors around these days that it is almost an impossible task to choose one! Coaches often offer much, over promise and frequently under deliver. They can exploit ones desire for positivity and optimism in a way that eases the sale but does not necessarily lead to fulfillment.
So we’re not going to promise you the life or business that you ever wanted. If you’re considering Newcastle coaching at this point how do you know that you’ll still want these things at the end of the process? We can’t promise you an easy “seamless” transition from where you are now to where you want to be. What we can promise you is the following:
- Clearer direction and purpose;
- Greater self-awareness;
- Insight into ones own strategies that enable and restrict;
- Generally improved performance;
- A qualitatively better experience of life.
Dr David Cliff – Managing Director and Head Coach.
David has had solid experience of working in both public and private sector organisations.
He was vice chair of the north east Institute of Directors and named Mentor of the Year by the north Entrepreneurs Forum. David has an unusual mix of the psychological and corporate.
He has both a Masters and Doctorate in business administration but is also one of the most experience senior accredited psychotherapists in the north east of England, skills he blends together to provide what his clients regard as a unique perspective on life, leadership and business.
With experience in law, social work, sales and the charitable sector, David brings a plethora of skills, insights and approaches to help clients achieve their goals.
Lyn Davies – Associate Coach, Mentor and HR specialist.
Lyn’s solid HR background with a number of big industry names places her well to understand the needs of staff, change management, leadership development and considerably more. Lyn has joined Gedanken because our style, approach and philosophy resonates with her own and she is a truly welcome addition to the team. Lyn is particularly interested in some of the challenges that come out of organisational change, and increasingly diverse workforces. A significant amount of Lyn’s work is undertaken on a remote basis, in common with Gedanken’s increasing practice to be available nationally wherever possible.
Jeanine Carpenter – Gedanken Administrator and Client Care liaison.
Jeanine has the sometimes challenging task of keeping a collection of talented, creative, diverse professionals in hand as well as making sure clients receive appointment arrangements, session follow up and just about anything else administrative involved with working with Gedanken.
Jeanine joined Gedanken in 2014 and has been trying to escape ever since! But we won’t let her go.
know that.
We’re not going to pretend it is not going to be challenging work and it will require a lot of self-examination.
What we will guarantee is to challenge your current assumptions and encourage you to think them through and establish the changes you need. Most of all we promise you complete honestly and candour, not sugar coating, not nice words that make you come back for your next session. We owe you to be dead straight from session one! Our successful clients are testament to this approach.
“The irony of Gedanken services is one has to buy them and experience them first before one realises how good a deal one has got.”
Phil White, White Associates.
What our
clients say.
The two hours we spent together on Zoom, covered such a wide range of issues and went into areas that I had not, previously considered, and each time, David expressed a depth of knowledge of that particular subject. The time spent was total added value for me personally, and has provided solid ideas that will help to develop further, Helpful Hounds Assistance Dogs to change more lives of families dealing with Autism, Down's Syndrome and Physical Disablement. Thank you so much.
In my business career of 25 years plus, I’ve met hundreds of coaches, ranging from fairly bogus to well-connected and insightful, but David Cliff is ‘the real deal’.
I’ve been working with him now for coming up to a year and I am thrilled with our sessions, conversations and actions.
He is also a super guy, blessed with the highest levels of integrity as well as a great sense of humour, an often-overlooked quality in the 24/7 world we now live in.
I couldn’t recommend him higher.
There are many "coaches" out there but they should ALL see David.
